THE BEST SECRET, A GREAT PLACE & AWESOME MUSIC!!!

The best way to describe Whiskey Go Round on a Saturday night when most of the shows have died down and all the musicians want a place to kick back an listen to each other and also singing some for the heck of it. After 8pm sl time this place starts to really hop and gets to be jammed packed with musicians, venue owners, & people who are interested in the most awesome live music that Second Life has to offer. Basically Saturday nights are know as Open Mic Night/Pass The Mic and each musician who signs up for it gets to sing 3 songs.

I have had the honour of seenig such greats as Grateful Stryker, Beth Odets, Lexi Luan, Paul Nowles, BartAlan Barbasz, Angelndskyz Galicia,Veronica Weksler, and many, many more. Many style of music for all people.

I have seen quite a few of these people in 1 hour shows and they are marvelous musicians who need to be recognized. But then again all the live musicians in SL need to be recognized for all the hard work that they do to put on those shows for us residents so that we have another reason to be here and stay here. The Pass The Mic concept is an awesome idea that they have there as it can give people a chance to hear a little bit of what each musician has to offer and they might think to themselves "hey I want to go listen to that person again", that is how groups get bigger and how venues and musicians get u as patrons.

With Whiskey Go Round I started going a few weeks back when a musician that I had heard about and seen youTube videos on, KevinBear, passed on and there was a Saturday pass the mic in his honour. I felt so honoured to be there with all these great musicians, some that I have known for quite some time and some that I knew only by name in notice. Ever since that night I go on Saturday nights there and now that will be my place to hang when all dies down from about 8pm sl time till whenever I decide to go to bed or they are done singing.

Come on over to the Haight Ashbury region and have a awesome time. join the group for Whiskey Go Round to see who all is playing when and dance with ur sweetie or just kick back dance on ur own like me. The people are friendly and the musicians are awesome people and who knows u just might get hooked on live music in SL just like me.

If you go there, and I do really hope you give it one chance to have fun & you really love music, you can join their groups below I will list just a few different groups that I know don't have website or calendars. Groups are another way to find out where ur favourite musician is playing in SL. MORE GREAT MUSIC FROM OKLAHOMA!!!!!

There is a fantastic duo out of Oklahoma that I have come to call my friends and their music will make women melt. Lighthouse Mixmaster and Beamer Lowtide are that duo who are following other greats in SL from that state like Zachariah Loon, Ric Rembrandt, Strummer Vultee, Mort Shaman(Okie born)& finally Maxx Sabretooth.

Beamer has a voice of an angel and that will make u melt at times; Lighthouse, though, can really butter up those strings on that oh so lovely guitar of his. Both have many year in the business in rl according to there profiles.

Beamer, according to his profile, is a singer, songwriter, arranger, composer, performer, session musician, recording artist, stage manager, festival promoter and general music fanatic.

Lighthouse,well according to his, is a professional musician for SL & RL, live and session work; he is proficient in many styles including Rock, Jazz, Blues, Country, Southern Rock, Classical and Folk. That he has jammed with Ted Nugent, Jimmy Wallace and Bugs Henderson; has shared the stage with such artists as Tracy Byrd & Black Oak Arkansas and has been playing guitar since 1976..

Going to shows to see them is a real pleasure. I have tpd a friend from Oklahoma in and she was amazed.
She only lives about 5 hours from their recording studios in Tulsa. From the beginning these men have had a great following and their shows have always had many ppl.

THE BEST KEPT SECRET IN SL FOR COUNTRY MUSIC, YEE HAW!!

Now I know we got some good old country boys and girls out there who just love their country music. Well I found a great place with lots of great ppl in there that would love to make you feel right at home. Heck they don't care if your are new to SL or an oldie, just come on down and party with all of us, just pls leave ur owner tags at the door as a courtesy.

The place I am talking about is Black Horse Country. Love that line dancing. heheheh Did u know that Canadian girls kick ass, yupps we sure do and we love our country music too. Black Horse Country has music running from about 8ma with a DJ till way past midnight sl time. DJ Toad Miles is a friend that I have known for almost 2yrs now and she is there from 10-noon on Sundays sl time. There is couples dancing also there if you want to bring that special person in you life or if you happen to meet someone there. They have the big Budweiser ploder up in the air if u should decided to take you chance . the 2hours or so u spend there goes by so darn fast so come on in an ck it out. There are freebies at the front of the club if you would like any gestures for the club, tshirts, etc. While there also check out the store and all the other exciting things to do around the club.

Join the Black Horse Country Family and then you know what is happening, like that Thursday night event is a formal event. and that they have all day bull riding contests. and much more. so ck all this out Your bull ride is below. See y'all over there , I am usually there:))

*SWEETS* MY HOME AWAY FROM HOME

When I first started *SWEETS* it was an idea as a help group for ppl that were new to Second Life to give them the boost and the help from ppl who have been here awhile; to help with questions, landmarks or for just someone to have someone to chat with when they were lonely if they didn't feel like they didn't fit in. It eventually became a coffeehouse/club with a vendor are one year ago the first week of November this year. I started on a small piece of land of 1536sq m on Neveryear and in March we moved to Corfeld and acquired 3072sq m of land and are now at 7808sq m of land in total and I don't plan on going anywhere unless someone want to donate a sim or island to m:) LOL Yes I do have a sense of humour in any language. I have an X-Lang translator that work even in scripted area

We have had few name artist down on *SWEETS*: ie:Zachariah Loon, Jon Bazar & Fireheart Braver, Lightnin Lowtide, Kelvinblue Oh, Gerg Gloster, Olddood56 Chaffe, KevinMThomas Carpool, & Obeloinkment Wrigglesworth. More artists will be named to that list in the future. I am always scouting for good talent and if any want to work for tips right now I am willing to accept:)) Holidays are coming up guys

I have always stood by the fact that help the ppl and eventually the help will come back. That is how I keep in most of my things my cost at under 50L., my other vendors that is their prices although they are fairly reasonable.. and we do have out lucky chairs for ppl too to take their chance on things to win. But what is drawing all our traffic is the fact that we have a Free Daily Linden Sheep that I make sure is kept fed all the time . PPL can only get a linden once a day and they also get to vote for us with slpopularplaces.com. As of the last night scores we were still in 4th place. *SWEETS* has been in 2nd place and we will be there again.

My point is, I am here to help ppl to get a good start in Second Life in any way I can . I have freebie boxes for the new ppl, advice and friend to help also of things that I don't know how to do that will show them things if they are willing to learn. We would like your support and friendship in our endeavour to continue what I started as a help group over a year ago and in to this coffeehouse/vendor area for everybody to enjoy. Support us in anyway you can, stuff for give aways(copyable,transferable items) or donations to the sheep.

Let's as a business community stick together in all facets to help everybody in SL, not just the older ppl here but the new ones that don't know anything about this wonderful world that we have here.

GRAND REOPENING OF CUDDLER'S COVE

THE GRAND OPENING OF CUDDLERS COVE!!!!
Last night, 9/18/09, was a big night for everybody in the SL music world. It was a big night for Suka Nishi and Quinton Whiman. Last night Suka and Quinton REOPENED CUDDLER'S COVE over on Xtream Hotspot. The original CUDDLERS COVE was open from 05-Oct-2007 to 01-Aug-2009.Zachariah Loon was the person to start the GRAND REOPENING started. He did is usual awesome show and the area was getting full as the word got out that the cove was pen again.

At 9pm slt CQ Bravin a folk singer, Mellow. Indie, Acoustic, Singer, Songwriter, Musician with a fantastic talent. I will continue to look for him to be at other venues as well at Cuddlers again.

When I left the event there were 42 ppl listening to the music and dancing. Musicians, residents of sl , tinies, if you love live music then you need to come to CUDDLER'S COVE.

Jon Bazar started out this morning with a large crowd for an early morning. Jon has even palyed at *SWEETS* in a benefit with Fireheart Braver but today he did a solo act. Even a s a sold he just as awesome. I roiginally saw Jon befor it closed back before the summer and fell in love with his music. Ppl the is a must act to see.
